Hüll Melon Hops

German Hüll Melon Hop Profile

Released in 2012 by the Hüll Hop Research Center, Hüll Melon is a German variety with a distinctive blend of melon and strawberry aromas, backed by floral-spicy aromas of geranium and aniseed. As a daughter of Cascade like Hallertau Blanc, Hüll Melon represents a departure from its noble heritage — bred for a moment where brewers were seeking bold, differentiating flavors. With dual-purpose utility and moderate alpha (7-8%), it delivers a sophisticated layer of flavor that complements old-world and new-world styles alike.
